What it's for

Have what you need without tying up extra cash: how much there is, where, and how much there should be.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Stock levels

Inventory per product and warehouse: on hand, allocated, net, in transit, lot and expiry. Adjust or add inventory from here.

  2. 2

    ABC × XYZ policy matrix

Crosses each product's value (ABC) with how stable its demand is (XYZ) and recommends the policy, safety stock and reorder point. It shows what holding inventory costs today and what the recommendation saves; apply per row or in bulk, and ask the AI advisor for this week's 3 to 5 actions.

Example: Half a million a year

Acme's matrix shows US$ 486,817 a year in savings from moving to the recommended safety stock. The team applies the A-X rows first — the most valuable and predictable.

Tips

  • Apply by groups (for example A-X and A-Y) and review the result for a week before continuing.
